Aerospace metal bushings
Aerospace metal bushings are used when the joint needs metal strength, hardness, or temperature capability. Dominion machines plain, flanged, grooved, thin-wall, and custom alloy bushings from the customer drawing.
Metal is not a failure of polyimide
Some environments demand metal. We say so. A graphite-filled polyimide bushing is the wrong answer if the load path is structural or the temperature exceeds the polymer family.
- Plain cylindrical bushings
- Flanged bushings with an integral thrust face
- Internal or external grooves
- Thin-wall bushings for tight envelopes
